I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

An opportunity to hear ( embedded files ) the barrel organ playing melodies we associate with the circus. Plenty of opportunity to move to the music. The file lends itself to adaptation but you will lose sound if you delete the slide with sound on. The modern version of Nelly the elephant-is included The PowerPoint is a stimulus to creating music and moving. Elephant poem and a worksheet for an information text about the circus. Would appreciate feed back. The Moscow state circus PPT contains maps, information and images from a geographical point of view. Feedback appreciated

Edited video emphasizing the role of music and Shakespeare in the opening ceremony 2012 olympics. Pupils encouraged to appreciate Danny Boyle and Underworld's inspiration. The video also emphasizes the industrial Revolution. Good starting point for this topic and for studying creative impulses. The quality had been impaired by reducing size in order to upload.

This is a useful little video that I have edited. It's from 'It&'s a bugs life ' The ants collect food and later celebrate . The video explores each aspect, the lifting, throwing, carrying, marching ,flying etc. I&';m using it for movement, but you could use it for Harvest festival, literacy , poetry etc . We are using it in our mini beasts topic. Children can make props for their foraging. We drew fruit and cut it out. We staggered under the weight and deposited the 'fruit' on our 'mountain '

Song of the Ghostly Orchestra

This is an animated PowerPoint song that tells the story of a ghost orchestra whose instruments play at night. Although it is primarily a music lesson, there are many ways that writing can be integrated into this lesson as well.
